What a THRILL to be part of the media who got to meet Blue Angels #8 Capt. Corrie Mays and # 7 Lt. Tyler Davies when they came to Vero Beach for a planning session ahead of their show this summer at the Vero Beach Air Show on June 25-26! I will post the link to my Luminaries story on their visit as soon as it become available this week. Meanwhile here are some of the photos:
Well, almost! I got to interview Retired Air Force Colonel Martin "Marty" Zickert for our Veteran's Day issue of Luminaries./TCPalm.com. Marty is the Blue Angels liaison for our Vero Beach Air Show and he shared with me some exciting plans they are making with the Blues, which I will report here once I am "cleared" to share information! In the meantime, I hope the Blue Angels coming in 2016 to Vero Beach excites you as much as it does me!
I cannot WAIT for these guys to come back in Summer 2016 ! I sure do want to ride in one of these:
I will be ready for new adventures with the BLUE ANGELS when they return in 2016 for the Vero Beach Air Show.
I am happy and honored to have been able to do this cover story on the Blue Angels - on Memorial Day no less! Here is the whole story: http://www.tcpalm.com/news/2014/may/29/service-excellence-and-inspiration/
I have so much to share about this! Read about my Adventure in a special Cover Story in the Indian River LUMINARIES (found in your SCRIPPS Treasure Coast newspapers) coming out this Memorial Day, May 26.
The story will detail my interview with Flight Leader #1 Blue Angels Commander Tom Frosch and also my experience with Zero Gravity and more while flying in the cockpit of the Blue Angels Fat Albert! I also got to sing the National Anthem to open the Vero Beach Air Show! I wore my "Blue Angel blue" dress! Thanks JULIAN LEEK for the photo! Below are about 100 of my photos from the experience:
